2025 2.0
It’s the last post of 2024.
As I take a couple of weeks off, recover after Christmas, and plan for the next year, one of my rituals is to take down my wall calendar, look through it before I put it in a bin, and put up a new one.
The yearly wall planner has a few aims.
One is writing a yearly theme I mentioned last time. 2024 was dedicated to my wife Paulina; on the 2025 calendar, I wrote - 2.0 - as I feel several of our endeavours will enter a new phase.
(Casefile and our other projects, Paulina’s business (Dog’s Lounge), and our YouTube channels.)
The second part of the planner is where I write goals. These could be the number of new shows, revenue targets, and subscribers. I sometimes split these intro quarterly aims, but these are arbitrary (and I don’t really stick to them anyway).
Again, seeing what I crossed off the list makes me feel good as the year progresses.
The biggest goal of the calendar is to write down our trips, nights out, gigs, and other events and cross them off each day as they pass.
I get to see how much fun we had, and it’s a reminder of how fast each week and month passes by and how important it is to make the most of it.
So, how did I fare this year?
Pretty good.
I kept up with personal goals, fitness and learning.
We released all the planned shows with Casefile.
Our YouTube team of editors grew, and we all improved massively.
We didn’t make many trips this year, only two to Poland, but it was a year of musicals, gigs, and theatre.
34 nights out in total + two festivals!
(and some conferences, but I don’t count them as fun…)
I am planning more trips next year, visiting friends and family more often and seeing as much art, music and performances as possible.
(I already have about 20 tickets + 1 festival booked in 2025…)
It’s been a great year, full of challenges but also full of play.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year (as I will spend mine on a plane).
Here’s to 2025!
And our last video in the Fantasy series is about Hobbits (and their accents!)
